We have successfully handled a number of cases involving constitutional issues in the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before other courts and tribunals.

Our recent constitutional cases include acting for parties in the Whatcott appeal; on behalf of public health providers in the Insite appeal before the Supreme Court of Canada; responding to Charter arguments to exclude evidence or strike down legislative provisions before a variety of tribunals, including the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the Ontario Securities Commission, and the Ontario Racing Commission; challenging the power of police officers to impersonate journalists in infiltrating protests; and seeking constitutional remedies on behalf of torture victims against the Government of Canada.

When acting in criminal matters, we routinely advance Charter arguments as a core competency of that practice.
