Paul Jonathan Saguil participates in panel discussion at LGBT Pride Week Celebration held at the LSUC

As part of the annual LGBT Pride Week Celebration, the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Caucus (SOGIC) of the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada, co-hosted a panel discussion and reception at Osgoode Hall in Toronto on June 21, 2012. A distinguished panel of “LGBT Legal All-Stars”, who have advanced the cause of equality for the LGBT community, celebrated the 30-year anniversary of the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms and what it has meant for LGBT legal advocacy. Paul, who recently joined SOGIC’s Executive Committee, engaged the panel members in a discussion of issues with respect to promoting diversity in the judiciary in Ontario and across Canada and the potential impact thereof on litigation involving the LGBT community.
