Brendan van Niejenhuis to speak on regulating civility in advocacy

On March 28, 2014, Stockwoods partner Brendan van Niejenhuis will speak as part of a panel with Jonathan Shime and Suhail Akhtar to the Prosecutors Group of The Advocates’ Society, comprised of members who conduct regulatory and criminal prosecutions.  The panel will discuss the professional regulation of civility in the course of advocacy, after the Law Society Appeal Panel’s 2013 decision in the well-known Joseph Groia case arising from the fraud prosecution of Bre-X geologist John Felderhof.
