Brennagh has acted or assisted in all of the firm’s practice areas, including administrative hearings, judicial review applications, and criminal, civil and commercial trials and appeals. She has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and in the Supreme Court of Canada.

She served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Brennagh joined Stockwoods in 2007, after her admission to the Ontario Bar.

Her education includes a Baccalaureate of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Adv) from the University of Manitoba, where she won the Dr. A.W. Hogg and Isbister Awards for highest standing in the Faculty of Arts.

She is a member of the Young Advocates’ Standing Committee of the Advocates’ Society, a member of The Advocates’ Society Criminal Practice Group Advisory Committee, and a member of the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations.

Her pro bono work includes regularly volunteering her time at Ontario’s Law Help Centres at the Superior Court of Justice and as duty counsel at Small Claims Court. She also serves as a roster volunteer for Pro Bono Law Ontario’s appeals program and is a volunteer for the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario’s Human Rights Legal Support Centre.

    Co-counsel with Brian Gover and Scott Hutchison on an application to quash a search warrant targeted at a national telecommunications company. The matter will be heard by the Supreme Court of Canada this year.
  • R. v. Larry O’Brien
    Co-counsel with Scott Hutchison, representing the Attorney General of Ontario in the prosecution of influence peddling charges against the then-Mayor of Ottawa, Larry O’Brien
  • R. v. Toronto Humane Society et al.
    Co-counsel with Scott Hutchison, defending a senior officer of the Toronto Humane Society in connection with both criminal and Provincial Offences Actcharges.
  • R. v. Cakmak
    Successfully appealed a summary conviction on the basis of the trial judge's misapprehension of evidence and failure to provide adequate reasons for decision
  • R. v. Levere
    Successfully responded to a Crown sentence appeal related to the application of the serious personal injury offence provision in the Criminal Code.
  • R. v. Craig
    Co-counsel on an intervention at the Supreme Court of Canada on behalf of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association in an appeal related to the application of the offence-related property provisions of the Criminal Code.
  • Ian Verner Macdonald v. CBC and Kinsella
    Successfully defended the CBC and Warren Kinsella as co-counsel in a defamation trial and appeal. The plaintiff is presently seeking leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
